We’ve moved away from our legacy name and are no longer known as JB Attachments. Since 1 October 2016, we are officially Calibre Contracting Equipment.
Why are we moving forward as Calibre Contracting Equipment?
Calibre reflects a company that has recognised the ever changing, highly competitive and demanding environment in this new age of infrastructure development. Our focus has now shifted to bringing the performance and economics of contracting equipment working tools into a modern age. This has been a three year undertaking for us eventuating to significant changes in the way we design, produce, distribute and service our products.
The emphasis on innovation is greater than ever as we look to make inroads on our vision to deliver quality solutions, to excavator operators, never seen before. As a company, we’ve delved into a journey of exploration with the new robotic technological field of co-robotics or collaborative robots – robots designed to work in partnership with human operators. This journey has allowed us insight into the relationship expert excavator operators hold with machinery. Greater awareness for the deep cognitive “sense and feel” an excavator operator has when working with attachments opens up a world of innovation possibilities. The Research & Development department at Calibre have worked hard over the past few years to develop state of the art products that further promote earthmoving attachments as assets in their own right alongside excavators. Our high quality engineering and customer focused attitude ensures the design and production of our new products centralise around user experience and task performance that is second to none.
In the coming months, you’ll see us introduce a new range of Calibre attachments and various combinations of attachments that enhance, assist and improve the output of the operator. These attachments are a direct result of our implementation of the principles of co-robotics. The combinations are designed to act as an extension of the operator’s wrist and hand at the end of an excavator.
For the company, these new products reflect the new age of Calibre Contracting Equipment and a fond farewell to the old traditional legacy approach under JB Attachments. Our new identity also reflects an ambition to be a world leader in excavator co-robotic attachments as embodied in new products you’ll see, namely, equipment enabling superior performance and great user experience combined with well acclaimed post-purchase service.
