Versatility and durability - The Heli-Tilt Performance Package
"Calibre buckets and tilts are so versatile and good to use"
- David Johnson of James Drainage
With such a high demand for civil construction and drainage work, versatile attachments that do not bend or break causing downtime or risking productivity is essential for James Drainage. For this reason, James Drainage has kitted all of their machines with Calibre’s quick hitches, tilting hitches and buckets, with their most recent purchase being a 14T Calibre Heli-Tilt Performance Package to suit their Hitachi ZX130.
We caught up with Dan Bolton and David Johnson, operators at James Drainage - to see if the Heli-Tilt has stood up in their harsh environments.
David Johnson is one of James Drainage's longest operators and has been in the industry most of his life. Alongside versatility and durability, David was quick to comment on the extensive capabilities his Calibre Wide Bucket has to offer. David mentions, "The bucket's really good, it's got a great cutting edge, you can get lots of material in it and it doesn't stick." In comparison to his old competitor bucket, David has definitely noticed an increase in efficiency from the non-stick material we use in our buckets. David notes, "Some of the other buckets we've used, they just clog up and we can't get anything out."
Another operator of James Drainage, Dan Bolton praised his Heli-Tilt which has enabled him to finish his jobs quicker and more efficiently.
