"The Heli-Tilts are strong and durable and stand up to the work we do"
- Ben Cattermole of Earthworks and Paving Ltd
For over 13 years, Earthworks and Paving Ltd has been the main sub-contractor for Mike Downs Contracting Limited.
The company runs JB/Calibre attachments on all of their machines, with their first purchase being a JB/Calibre Heli-Tilt to suit a CAT 314E excavator. Today, that same tilt hitch has done over five and a half thousand hours and is still going strong.
We caught up with shareholder and foreman of Earthworks and Paving, Ben Cattermole during their final stages of a large subdivision project in Christchurch, New Zealand. With five JB/Calibre Heli-Tilt’s working on this site, we discussed their performance and whether they’ve held up to the various applications out in the field.
When asked why the company has chosen to stick with Calibre attachments for so long, Ben says, “The Heli-Tilts are strong and durable and they stand up to the work that we do, including having breakers on them, ripping - and some pretty hard work.”
Watch the video above to see what else Ben has to say and to see their Heli-Tilts in action.
